Reference:

Now that .NET have penetrated itself into many areas and platforms, I think it's time for convergence of .NET flavours.

Now would be a good time to start converging on various horizontals and verticals that the .NET supports. We need more of the System.* fundamental primitives, protocols and APIs for Gaming, Graphics, Micro-Controllers and Custom Devices (IoT), Machine Leaning, Data Science, High Precision computation, Media processing, Networking, etc...

Core framework should provide fundamentals for each type of platform that the framework is supporting... this should increase platform & support discovery, and among other things... Many people still not yet aware of .NET being used in ML and IoT space...
