The following program generates the error "panic: pp_iter":
$state = 1; $foo = q(<text>); foreach $line (split ('\n|\r|\t', $foo)) { if ($state == 1) { $state = 2; goto HIT_END; } elsif ($state == 2) { HIT_END: $state = 1; } } print "\nOkey dokey\n";
Removing practically any line gets rid of the error. I think the problem has to do with the combination of the "foreach" and "goto".
