It is still a problem to expose an dart api to javascript.. This shortcoming still reduces the usability of dart drastically.

Yeah, JS interop could be a lot better. The good news is: we're working on it! I filed #35084 to track that. I'll merge this issue into that one, but feel free to follow it for updates.
