I see similar errors from git when I don't have the over-rides in place
Unlike many projects, the Go project does not use GitHub Issues for general discussion or asking questions. GitHub Issues are used for tracking bugs and proposals only.
On a Linux system, I fixed issues by creating a ~/.netrc file and add line
machine github.com login {github user} password {github personal access token}
