Freeze code in the firmware

Hello

I have migrated almost all my code to this new branch, but I want to freeze the micropython code in the firmware, as it runs quicker. In the other repository, I edit manifest.py, and it points to the directory where my code is, but now it is not working. Any ideas?

create you own manifest.py file, DO NOT edit the ones that are in the repo at all because some of them get altered/moved or whatever during the build process...

Once you have a manifest.py file made add the command switch FROZEN_MANIFEST=path/to/manifest.py to your build command.

The partitions will automatically be resized to handle the larger amount of data added because of your modules being baked into the firmware.

Now I have migrated my project to LVGL 9 and the latest micropython.

I will prepare a video and I will upload it to show and tell :-D

I know it works. LOL. I am the one that coded in the ability to do it. Makes is nicer this way because you don't need to edit any of the files inside of MicroPython and you can keep your project separate from MicroPython and still have it bake all of the files into the firmware.

Just to let you know if you upload a python source file that has the same name as one of the modules you bake into the firmware the uploaded one is going to take precedent so the one that is baked in will no longer function.
