How to debug using the experimental debugger

  1. (Optional) Install a potentially newer version of PTVSD 4: either pip install ptvsd --pre or pip install git+https://github.com/microsoft/ptvsd
  2. Select the appropriate "experimental" debugger configuration
    experimental_debugger
  3. Debug like normal (realizing not all debugger features are implemented yet)

Not that this issue is closed and locked in order to keep this issue purely for instructions on how to use the experimental debugger, it does not mean that the experimental debugger has been removed or made into the default debugger for the extension (as of yet).
