Feature Request: Option to Disable Markdown

Hello.

Sorry to issue a feature request, but I have one that would make my life so much easier: Can somebody add an option to disable Markdown formatting?

It is insanely distracting to me on many levels, but mostly because I think it's an inferior solution to a noble problem. If someone could give me an option in Notes to disable all forms of Markdown interpretation, so that I don't have to think about it when I'm not ready to, it would go a long way in making this the true "distraction free" note taking app.

It's almost perfect! Markdown, in my opinion, is not. I'd love to disable it even more than I'd love to submit my own pull request.

Is it really the fact that the app formats Markdown or is it more the way how it does it? I agree with you, that sometimes the current editor makes me crazy with its behavior when using lists. But that's not a general problem of Markdown - it's a problem of the editor. Therefore, we plan to switch to another editor and I hope that this will improve the situation (see #204).

So, what is it exactly that is distracting you?

@korelstar I would agree with you that it could be a problem with the editor.

And you nailed it: The formatting goes crazy when I try to make lists that happen to use some character that is special to markdown (the asterisk, in particular)

I just want some option (any option) to disable rendering of Markdown while I type because it distracts me.
