The most frequent command I use, since I do everything through a requirements.txt, is pip install -Ur requirements.txt. How about aliasing it to pip ug or similar?

I can send a pull request, if you like.

I feel like people are all quite opinionated about aliases and short cuts, and you can always add more to your personal bash profile.

That's true, it'd still be nice if pip got some better requirements.txt integration, since everyone pretty much standardized on the filename.
