I have a 13" laptop and my vision isn't what it used to be so I use the default font sizes etc.

When I open pypi.org, I essentially see a a huge blue box with a search box in it. While I admit this is a common trend for web sites these days, this seems to me a waste of precious real estate. The legacy site had much more useful info on the first screen. Is there a way you can improve the information density of the home page without sacrificing the "bold design" property?

(To give you an idea of what I see, the bottom of my screen has the line "The Python Package Index (PyPI) is a repository of software for the Python".)

Hi, @gvanrossum. We're working on this issue in #1988 -- I appreciate you particularly raising the accessibility concerns. Our designer's user testing on this point is in progress and will inform the front page layout. I hope you don't mind if I close this issue as a duplicate of that one and copy your note into a comment there.
