if/else block parse problem

Mypy complains about this code, even though it should be valid:

if type in ('d', 'D'): cmd = 'TYPE A'; isdir = 1
else: cmd = 'TYPE ' + type; isdir = 0

(this is from Python 3.2 Lib/urllib/request.py)
