Last week I was unable to build Rust despite what buildbot reported. I cleaned out ccache and ran make clean, but the only way of fixing linker issues and get the build working was to delete the build directory.

I'm not sure we can act on this bug; there's not much detail about how to recreate it.

Nominating to (1.) remove it from the maturity milestone list, and possibly also (2.) close it as insufficiently specific to act upon

I presume that the build system will be changing anyway with the eventual switch to rustpkg (#2237). I'd close it right now if it wasn't already attached to a milestone.

This doesn't seem to have gone through the normal nomination process and it's pretty much a useless bug. Closing.
