Welcome to NeuroVR, an immersive application designed to explore brain structures in a virtual reality (VR) environment. This project leverages the Unity Engine to create a highly interactive and educational tool for neuroscientists, educators, students, and VR enthusiasts. NeuroVR provides a unique way to visualize and interact with complex neural structures in 3D space.
Interactive Brain Models: High-resolution, anatomically accurate 3D brain structures. Immersive VR Support: Integration with VR Oculus headsets for a fully immersive experience. Gallery: Enables users to view and interact with a personalized collection of videos and images.
Unity: Install Unity 2021 LTS or newer. VR Hardware: Compatible with Oculus Rift/Quest, HTC Vive, or any OpenXR-supported device. Git: Ensure Git is installed to clone the repository.
Clone the repository:
$ git clone https://github.com/BlueBrain/NeuroVR
$ cd neurovr
Open the project in Unity:
Launch Unity Hub. Add the NeuroVR project folder. Open it with the specified Unity version. Install required Unity packages:
Use the Package Manager to download dependencies listed in Packages/manifest.json. Install the Meta XR All-in-One SDK package for VR support.
The development of this software was supported by funding to the Blue Brain Project, a research center of the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), from the Swiss government's ETH Board of the Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology.
