- It can use the supplied proprietary Unifying dongle (located in the battery door below the keyboard): can be used for regular keyboard use outside VR and service updates.
- use Bluetooth Smart (aka BLE): this is the mode if you want to use your keyboard in your Mixed Reality app. If you can connect a Microsoft MR controller, then you can also connect your keyboard.
Follow these easy steps:
- press once on F2 button, the button's LED should start blinking
- go to Bluetooth settings and select "Add Device"
- choose Bluetooth and then look for a device named (aka friendly name) "Kbd K780 MR POC"
- select it and enter the supplied digit code with the keyboard
- go and download Logitech's unifying pairing utility
- open it, follow the instruction to add a device
- on the keyboard press the F1 key.
- when prompted turn OFF and then ON your keyboard
You can use the F1 and F2 buttons to switch between the slot 1 (F1) (factory pre-paired on Unifying dongle) and the slot 2 that can be used for Bluetooth smart.
The keyboard uses two different power supplies (as it still is a prototype):
- make sure to have two fresh AAA batteries in the keyboard. The battery door is located on the bottom part of the keyboard.
- plug a USB micro cable to a plug and to the keyboard to allow the powering of the tracking module.
