Setting Up an AWS Account

In order to work with the AWS IoT Zero Touch GUI and Development tools, we need to first create our own AWS account. In this multistep process you sign up for a service and then confirm your agreement with AWS. To create an AWS go to the link bellow:
- AWS Create Account
- Press Create a Free Account button.
- Make sure that the “I Am a New User radio button” is selected, fill in an appropriate e-mail address in the given field and the click the “Sign In Using Our Secure Server button”
- Now is time to enter your login credentials.
- Enter a “username”, your “e-mail address” (twice) and finally the “password” you want to use (twice)
- Now enter your “Contact Information”
- As indicated below, AWS offers a free one-year subscription with some restrictions. To get details about the current restrictions and account subscription details go to AWS web page
- In the next page AWS will want to confirm your identity, so it asks for a phone number it can use to verify your identity.
- Enter your telephone in the appropriate field and click “Call Me Now button”. AWS displays a pin code on the screen and then call you on the phone number you supplied.
- Answer the phone and enter the displayed PIN code on the telephone keypad.
- Click then the “Continue button”
- Finally, an e-mail confirming your account will be sent; you have to click on the link on that e-mail to complete the account signup process.
