From [email protected]This is a bug report for perl from cas@taz.net.au, "perldoc -v" is only useful if you already know the name of the perl variable e.g. Both "perldoc -v '$/'" and "perldoc -v '$RS'" work and provide lots "perldoc -i -v 'input.*record'" says only: 'input.*record' does not look like a Perl variable The ability to search would be useful. From @jkeenanThis feature would have to be implemented in Pod::Perldoc. That's maintained upstream on CPAN, so I have opened a ticket on rt.cpan.org and am closing this one. Thank you very much. |
