in older pcl version(also the version used in Ubuntu 14.04), generated ply file has property "property list uchar int vertex_index" (while in newer version "property list uchar int vertex_indices"). then all triangles of mesh are empty(the length of pcl::PolygonMesh::polygon is normal) after reading with new pcl.
this commit should be useful handling files from old machine
