Hi @antonmontagne. I made a few more changes, what do you think: https://teachbooks.io/manual/Jessyink/features/Jessyink.html ? :)

@antonmontagne, maybe you can add another example of a nice svg-presentation of your own book?

Hi @Tom-van-Woudenberg, looks good, thanks! Can we somehow make the svg file available for download? I will send you other (more technical) presentations.

very cool! I was checking out the page and noticed that the scrolling between slides in the svg took some experimentation to figure it out. It seems like it works only in "horizontal scroll" mode...with my bluetooth mouse scroll wheel it is very irregular (since it does not have a horizontal direction; if the cursor is over the image and i wiggle the wheel up and down it sort of works...it's fighting with scrolling the page and svg slides at the same time). Left/right arrows on my keyboard work great once you click on the svg. So maybe a few things to think about, unless you have way to customize this via the Inkscape/JessyInk setup?

  1. manual page should explain behavior for teachers
  2. maybe a standard note for students in the caption, like "This is an interactive svg; it is best used by clicking on the image and using the left/right arrows to animate it." and perhaps "You can also download this file ..."etc
  3. Maybe there is a way to customize the iframe behavior to freeze page scroll when vertical scroll is used within the iframe box?

I think I added remarks about the scrolling behavior in the text. Press shift while using the arrow keys or the scroll wheel and the frame should stay in place.

From the beginning of June 2025 I will work on this project again and prepare more SVG stuff.

See the last sentence:
9. Show the presentation. Open the presentation in a webbrowser. Use the mouse scroll wheel, “PgUp”, “PgDn”, “^”, “⌄”, “<”, or “>” to go through the slides. If necessary, fix the position of the presentation in the browser by pressing the “Shift” key while scrolling through it.

I can't edit the source, so I ask you .. Can you change the caption of the image such as to include the remark about scrolling:

Use the mouse scroll wheel, “PgUp”, “PgDn”, “^”, “⌄”, “<”, or “>” to go through the slides. Fix the position of the presentation in the browser by pressing the “Shift” key while scrolling through it.
