On new session start callback

Is it possible to be notified when new session starts?

I have read about tracking sessions in amplitude, but in article written that it is impossible to track session start on web: The JavaScript SDK cannot send default session events.

I'd like to know is there any workarounds to implements this? Cause now, I'd like to fire identify log on new session start, but directly before event log that was first on new session.

Hey, @jooohhn sorry for long delay. No, isNewSession is not what I'm looking for, I'd like to have callback, that would fire when session has restarted.

@kdastan Thanks for the suggestion, would definitely be a useful feature for the SDK. Not sure when we'd be able to allocate resources for this though 😕. If the community would like to help, we have some similar lifecycle methods for errors and exits that'd be a good place to start.

Quick question, since there's no documentation on how onNewSessionStart() behaves:

will onNewSessionStart trigger even after initializing the sessionId?
like, in this code below, will onNewSessionStart callback be executed?
