I followed the steps below to create an angular 2 application.
npm install -g yo generator-aspnetcore-spa
npm install -g webpack
cd some-empty-directory
yo aspnetcore-spa
I then tried to run it by executing dotnet run
But I'm getting the below exception

Can I please get some help with this issue?

It looks like the code was unable to start Node.js and get it to listen for HTTP requests on localhost. I don't know why that would happen, but maybe either:
You don't have Node installed, or your installation is broken in some way
Or, maybe something on your machine is preventing Node from opening a TCP listener on the localhost interface (maybe some kind of antivirus or other security product)
To track this down, I'd suggest attempting to get Node working by itself first. Try putting the following code into a file called server.js:
// Load the http module to create an http server.
var http = require('http');
// Configure our HTTP server to respond with Hello World to all requests.
var server = http.createServer(function (request, response) {
response.writeHead(200, {"Content-Type": "text/plain"});
response.end("Hello World\n");
});
server.listen(0, 'localhost', function() {
console.log("Server running at http://localhost:" + server.address().port + "/");
});
Then to start it, run node server.js in a command prompt in the same directory. Make sure you can visit the URL it brings up in a browser and see the message Hello World. Ensure you don't have to change this code in any way to make it work, because if you do have to change it, that implies there's a problem with running Node on your machine.
If this doesn't work, you'll need to track down what's stopping Node from working on your machine. Hope that helps!
Thank you for suggesting that test. I was able to run it without any issues though.
My issue could be specific to my machine because I was able to get the SPA templates setup and working fine on a different machine. I raised this issue to get some guidance on resolving my issue, Appreciate your inputs on this.
I followed the steps below to create an angular 2 application.
I then tried to run it by executing
dotnet run
But I'm getting the below exception
