I'm an incoming 4th year at UC Irvine and I'm studying computer science.
I'm a 2x intern at Microsoft. As an intern, I collaborated with 2 other interns to develop an AI powered chatbot for our team where I connected our bot to Azure OpenAI allowing our bot to provide intelligent responses about our team’s documentation. Throughout my internship, I gained skills in C# development, writing useful and meaningful GitHub issues and pull requests, and reading and understanding external software libraries.
I've been a mentor for the UC Irvine Women in Information and Computer Sciences mentorship program for the past 2 years. I joined the mentorship program as a mentee in my freshman year. Mentorship has been so vital to my success as a student at UC Irvine, and I love being able to do the same for my underclassmen.
In addition to being a mentor, I was one of the 2024-2025 Community Outreach Co-Chairs where I co-lead a team of 11 to design and execute outreach programs every quarter to inspire younger students to be curious about computing. Some previous events we have hosted include: Scratch-a-thon ( a Scratch workshop and hackathon), Web Dev Bootcamp, and Mobile Dev Bootcamp.
I love the sun, being outdoors, and camping with my family. We've been to: Big Sur, Crater Lake, Kings Canyon, Lake Tahoe, Bodega Bay, Lassen National Park, and Donner State Park. Some places on my bucket list are: Yellowstone National Park, Joshua Tree National Park, and Olympic National Park. I also enjoy a variety of creative hobbies including: pottery, painting, and nail art.

What We Did: mentHER connects mentees and mentors through a smart recommendation system based on shared goals, interests, and preferences collected at sign-up. It helps automate the matching process to create more meaningful mentorship connections. Users are provided with their top 5 most compatable matches, but are also able to see the other users who they could reach out to as well.
