I have tried to do my best to add websites of governments written in French to offer a variety of starting points for the French language and reflect the fact that French is an official language of many countries.

Two are missing:

Thank you! This is a really great contribution! We need to talk internally about turning on french.md -- because of the geographical spread of French, we had put off a decision on splitting French (and Spanish) into community and cultures.

For the 2 urls you mentioned were exceptional:

  • The Equatorial Guinea link is in Spanish, and there's a language picker in the upper right that includes French. I will give this url to our intern studying internationalization to figure out if this menu sets a cookie, and if a browser Accept-Language header makes a difference to the first page the user sees.

  • The Comores link is in French for me, and so is everything I click on. What do you see? What country is your IP address in? What is your browser Accept-Language?

Indeed for Comoros I was surprised not to be able to have a website in a different language because the country has multiple languages. But after research the website is only in French, and French is the administrative language of the country. So I added the website.
