[TOPIC] Asynchronous programming

I taught asynchronous programming for a while and would like to add this topic.

I am willing to prepare a draft for that.

From our discussion in the last SG20: Overall, the topic was well received, however we were a bit unsure what scope you envisioned for this and it need to be broken up. Could you provide a bit more input what you thought of?

I would like to talk about std::future and std::async. Maybe it should mention lambda functions since these are heavily used.

Sounds good from my point of view. As we did not fully agree on this topic in the last meeting, I'll put the request on the next online SG20 meeting agenda, so we can discuss this in the group and approve it. Could you please prepare a 1-2 min (verbal) short intro to the scope/idea that you envision.
