Integration testing of API server

I noticed in the current integration tests there seems to be no tests for the API server. I wanted to create an issue that tracks this.

Ideally every endpoint should be tested with both negative and positive tests.

There are some integration tests for the API in functional/test_api.py. The api server is also tested with unit tests. Probably the list of API calls is not covering all scenarios (I didn't check that for a while now). Do you have something else in mind or should we add more tests in the test_api.py file?

@andreeaflorescu - Ah, I did not know that! Yea, I was thinking of testing the add vsock stuff where the whitelisting of the missed syscall, #897 for reference . I also noticed v0.13.0 didn't support vsocks at all. So I am curious if we can get more testing around vsocks, specifically.

I would say we open a different issue for adding integration tests for vsock.
