Flathub provides setup instructions for Turkman Linux
Turkman Linux's logo features the "Üç Hilal" (Three Crescents), as seen in the overview, a symbol commonly associated with Turkish right-wing extremists and nationalist movements, particularly the Nationalist Movement Party and Grey Wolves. Turkman Linux introduces its own "Yerli ve Milli" (which translates to "Local and National") package manager reinforcing a nationalist rhetoric. This association raises serious concerns about the ideology behind the distribution and whether it aligns with principles of openness, inclusivity, and free software ethics. The presence of such a project on Flathub.org risks legitimizing extremist symbolism in the FOSS community, which should stand firmly against nationalism and right-wing radicalism.
