Also, if you're already doing several of these things (I know some of you are), please consider volunteering. I really appreciate it! |
Not a long-term solution, but Angular Buddies is looking for a target for our October FOSS Bash. Would you be interested? |
That'd be cool! Thanks @SomeKittens :-) |
As I pm'd you, I don't feel savvy enough with angular-formly codebase/testing. Nevertheless I might be able to help filtering worthy issues, commenting on them & closing the redundat ones. I would like to publicly reiterate my appreciation for your hard work on the projectKudos 👍 and all the best wishes 👪 |
Kent, Definitely interested as I'm looking to improve my angular skills. However, I've never used formly. |
Kent, As time allows I will do what I can to help. I have gotten great value from this library and have a complex dynamic build in development with it for a client. |
Thanks @gkadillak and @msc654! I'll add you both to a read-only team. This means that you're on the formly-js team (yay! 🎊) but you wont have push access or issue closing access. You can (of course) submit pull requests and if you feel like you'd like to have push access, we can chat about that :-) Thanks! |
Nice initiative, I will try to contribute, even if not part of the team (still reading through the codebase) (y) Im currently using formly to build a survey buiilder of some sort. Great job. |
Kent, I would like to be added to the team. I am using the heck out of formly, for production development. As such, I have run into complex issues that aren't necessarily covered in the documentation or examples. Time permitting, I will answer questions I can and help to mod the repo. I love Angular and believe that I can love Formly more, with every passing day. |
Awesome @softEngJason! I'll add you to the collaborators. Thanks! |
@kentcdodds happy to put my ✋🆙 to contribute |
Awesome @BarryThePenguin! You're in! |
Hi Kent I have worked on 3 projects using Angular and in 2 of those I used formly. Haven't contributed to any open source projects before. So in short I'm a intermediate in Angular and would consider myself a beginner in using formly. That said I would like to help in some sort of way and try to contribute. |
@rentius2407, I'll add you as a collaborator. If you could help in the ways that I illustrate in the issue, that'd be awesome. Thanks! |
I use angular-formly at work (recently in a project which uses forms intensively) and I am happy to help! |
Awesome @davincho! I'll add you to the collaborators. Please jump in as asked in the top comment on this issue :-) |
@formly-js/angular-formly-collaborators and anyone else. I am changing jobs and wont be using angular-formly (or Angular) in my new position. I am therefore not going to be very effective maintaining angular-formly (read: Open Source Stamina). So I need someone to spearhead development and maintenance of the angular-formly project. Preferably someone who's using it on a regular basis at work. Maintaining this library should be relatively simple because it's so well tested and processes are so automated. Could someone please step up to the plate on spearheading this project? |
@kentcdodds we are about to start using angular-formly in our project, we would be pleased to contribute to this repo. |
@vijquick awesome! I'll add you to the @formly-js/angular-formly-collaborators-read team. If I see that you're helping others and submitting PRs, I'll add you to the @formly-js/angular-formly-collaborators team. Thanks! |
Hi I'm using formly and would be please be contribute. |

Kent, I have started using this as part of a major project and would be pleased to contribute back as well. |
Anyone on the @formly-js/angular-formly-collaborators-read looking for an opportunity to help maintain angular-formly? There are several issues that are open that are simply questions. I generally try to point them in the right direction and then say something like:
|
@kentcdodds Please add me to the collaborators-read list if you've got room. We're using formly and I'd be happy to help maintain to the extent I'm able. |
Done. Thanks! |
@kentcdodds hello! I've been using formly in my project and it's simply fantastic. I've struggled yesterday to make a good file input to upload files, so I ended up making a bin (which works quite well): http://output.jsbin.com/fepilo I can help out in other things, I'm seeing some bugs but, as a contractor, I don't have much time to look into it (at least, not now). I'll add an example using Leaflet with formly in the next week, because the result was awesome! Anyway, thanks for this lib 👍 |
I am trying to get in 😄 |
Thanks @brutalcrozt! I'll add you to the collaborators-read team! |
@kentcdodds Thanks, i found issue myself, and wanna try to submit PR. But i still confuse with the code base. I want add some check but i did not found appropriate place for it 😕 |
@kentcdodds would love to help maintain this as well. |

I'm Angular Developer and using angular-formly actively at work and I am happy to help with contributions and resolving issues! |
@maliknur you got it! Adding you to the collaborators right now. |
@kentcdodds :We have been using angular-formly in one of our projects. Would love to contribute.Requesting to count me in too. |
@AjithJosephThomas, adding you to collaborators right now. |
@kentcdodds :thank you Kent |
@kentcdodds I would like to help! Can you please add me to Collaborators? |
You've been invited. There are about 15 members of @formly-js/angular-formly-collaborators-read team (with several pending invitations). I think that's plenty for now. If you all could please watch the repo and respond to issues and pull requests that'd be great. Once I find someone being actively and positively involved in these things I'll give you commit access. |

I'm looking for help maintaining the angular-formly library. No, I'm not giving up on angular-formly or anything, I've just determined that I'm too busy to handle all of the maintenance requirements of a library that has become quite popular and widely used.
What I'm looking for is a few people who are actually using the library at work or on personal projects currently. I've found that it's very difficult to be motivated to maintain something you're not personally
using. So if you're using angular-formly fairly regularly, please let me know!
If you're interested in joining the
formly-js
org and being a part of theangular-formly
team, I'll happily add you. Here are some of the things I would hope/expect you to do:If I decide to add you, you'll receive push access to this repo. This is a lot of trust. Please take this seriously. A lot of people depend on this library.
Thanks! 👍
