Running gitpod in CLI/TUI?

Context: My contributors asked me if gitpod can be run from terminal which it currently can assuming sufficient configuration, but it is not possible to trigger the instance from a terminal excluding using linx or other CLI browsers with github/gitlab login.

Requesting a method to allow building a workspace with a method to use remote access to gitpod instance to allow contributors to work without using theia.

Ideally end-user should be able to use some custom commend that would open a gitpod instance in said terminal with cloned repository for this workflow.
