Steps to reproduce

I installed today 15.03 fresh expo, and gluestack. Why doesn't grid work in React native (application)? It does not provide details, because simply on a fresh expo package and initialized gluestack grid does not work. There are no more details, the project is a default project.

After analyzing and manually adding index to GridItem and padding to Grid it works.

Generally, after testing, it's a pretty buggy component. If you fix indexes and padding, it'll be something.

First, you need to add an index in this place. Like in the picture. Second, the calculation of available space does not work properly.

A workaround is to remove -0.01 space from the total, or at least remove -0.0001 from width. Then they fit
