Everything was written for color screens, but the eventual book will be printed in black and white ($25 versus $80), so lots of things need some adjustment.
- Text refers to (for example) "red and blue edges" in figures.
- Colors with similar brightness but different hues are indistinguishable in B/W. Need to differentiate with some other signal, such as shape, line width, or text style. (I've already done this in the algorithms, replacing Red with bold+BrickRed.)
- Shading meant to emphasize in color could obscure in B/W.
This will require a close page-by-page reading of the entire manuscript.
