Bug description

When I open cinnamon menu by clicking super key, the panel becomes unresponsive. I have "intelligent hide" on, though this behavior is present when "intelligent hide" is turned off. Whenever, I tried to click the panel while the menu is on, it doesn't response.

Steps to reproduce

• open cinnamon menu
• try to click on any icon of the panel

Expected behavior

The panel should be responsive while the menu is on. Habitually, I always bring the menu and panel with super key and I expect both menu and panel to be responsive.

When an applet is open, clicking anywhere outside the applet just closes the applet. This is by design, it's the same with any menu in an application.

-- I have never thought of cinnamon menu as an applet. Now it makes sense. But, it is very inconvenient. I use super button heavily, and at this stage, it has become a habit. Aside from that, it is very convenient to click super, bring up the panel, and launch something from the panel, when an app is in full-screen.

Thank you for letting me know. I am not sure, the fixes would clear the issue I am stating. But I looking forward to see the panels work in full-screen mode.
