I'm not sure why the io.js page still links here, but I'll post this here as I guess the repo is somehow shared or just a separate io.js github project is very hard to find.
Having upgraded to io.js 3.3.1 my npm has become FUBAR (I doubt it was caused by the upgrade script). E.g. the npm global location has been replaced to a new one sitting under the io.js install dir. And much of npm's config has been overrun by io.js, so I will reinstall everything.
I could not however, find documentation about how to uninstall it before reinstalling npm from scratch.
This didn't really do anything helpful, it had only cleared /usr/local/lib/iojs-v3.3.1-linux-x64/lib/node_modules/npm.
If io.js overruns anything in npm or node.js, that should be made the first thing you see on the io.js page that leads you to install/download. This was not fun.
