[iOS] Debug/Release confusion between iOS-OFLib and the project

but when building an app it links vs the non-debug openFrameworksiOS.a?

in order for changes to the core to appear in app I had to change the scheme Run Build Config to "Release" (even if it's only building?? as you can't run iOS-OFLib )

unsure what is (in)correct here but rebuilding the Lib should be compatible with the default config of the xcodeproj?

oh weird - it should be passing the build config through to the OF project.

the iOS Project.xcconfig should have something like this - which builds the OF project based on the main project config:

Yes changed to release to expose this error if forwarding of project target type not working

hmm I'm a little more confused then... iOS does not (never did?) expose Release/Debug schemes like macOS does. I was under the impression that technical restrictions made everything always in Release. (of course if Debug/Release can be exposed in iOS that would be a positive thing, but that's a feature and should wait).

But now the problem I'm reporting is maybe due to the fact that iOS projects are configured as "run in Debug", which if changed to Release, fixes the problem. So maybe things are built correctly, but run incorrectly?

third problem is building core against simulator
then building against device in project etc

Building for 'iOS-simulator', but linking in object file (../../../libs/openFrameworksCompiled/lib/ios/openFrameworksiOSDebug.a2) built for 'iOS'
