Sanitizing a SOAP Envelope in the REQUEST_BODY

I would like to sanitize some data which is part of a SOAP envelope/XML in the request body to meet PCI complience so that sensitive data isn't logged in the auditlog. I was able to find one thread on the net but still no answer:

I think this may be related to a previous Issue: Issue #360 , That didn't seem to go well. Any Info/Help on this would be appreciated.
