All URLs 404

I'm calling Embed::create('https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3r2XDceM6A'); and I get:

The url 'https://www.youtube.com/\/watch?v=M3r2XDceM6A' returns the http code '404'

Happens on PHP 5.5 and PHP 5.6, using Embed 2.5.1 installed via Composer. The only anomaly I can spot is the "/" in the error messages.

Any idea why this might be happening?
