Application not launched on the side where the cursor is

Steps to reproduce (if you know):

1. Open up a single window on a new workspace.
2. Move cursor to left side of the screen.
3. Open up a terminal
4. Terminal is generated on the right side of the screen even though the cursor is on the left.

Expected behavior:

Terminal is generated on the left side of the screen.

Excuse my interruption to this learned list but why should the placement of the mouse cursor guide how tiling operates? It seems that minimizing and other floating paradigms are generating what are being called bugs. Perhaps better to disable minimize and maximize buttons and actions and focus follows mouse etc in Pop Shell auto-tiling? Anzan Hoshin roshi

@anzanhoshin afaik tiling in the spot where the cursor is, is a default pop shell tiling behaviour which allows a user to create a window exactly where their cursor is. Same behaviour occurs regardless of whether you navigate using your mouse/touchpad or a keyboard. Benefits are that it allows you to decide where the new window is instantiated.

Note on the bug: the reproducible steps are not the only situation where this bug occurs.

It also seems to occur when you have more than 1 window already on the screen, but it's been harder to find out a way to reproduce that scenario.
