In Windows, pip wouldn't delete read-only file(when install via git)

I put a package in github, and install by command pip install git+https://github.com/RobberPhex/mysql-connector-python

It is because pip wouldn't delete read-only file in Windows.

i have the same isue python version 3.4.1, pip version 1.5.6.
I'm installing from a private gitlab server with command pip install git+http://private.git.repo/root/repo.git

@cresg820 pip 1.5.6 is very old. The problem has been fixed in newer versions, so if you upgrade you should not see this issue any more.

I'm sorry. I've installed pip with msi installer downloaded from python.org web site and I thought that it was the latest version.

I've upgraded pip and now works.

No problem - the pip that comes with newer Python versions does a check for updates, precisely to help people in the situation you hit (so it's not an uncommon problem, but hopefully it will happen less as time goes on :-))
