I was using "blocked" as an extra "please do not merge this!" measure along with the "WIP" prefix on the PR title. I've fixed it up and believe it's ready to merge now, and figure that people will add more tips to the doc as we discover the need.

As I was testing this I realized the copyright date on the documentation was 2015 because that's what was in __about__.py, so I updated that as well.
