For what it's worth, I have ~300 active users of my AI models with probably >50% of those on windows and all of them would see benefits from windows support, as I'd swap from the old and no longer maintained decord library to torchcodec.

Out of curiosity, for everyone who wants Windows support: have you considered relying on WSL? And if yes, can you share why it wouldn't address your needs?

The PyTorch stuff I tried on WSL worked remarkably well. I rarely use it though, so I'm curious what other people with more experience think of it.
