Description
It's been a while since we made a pass over members to ping and say "hey! are you still there and interested in the WG?" Some older passes:
At the same time, we should probably look at how we can get more people involved, especially getting new folks the chance to be a part of the WG.
For the next bit, let's take some time in the regular meetings to work on this, and figure out what we can do to help get more folks involved.

In the last meeting we discussed moving forwards with this cleanup by checking in with all current members and ensuring they're still interested in continuing to be part of the working group. The plan is to start with a checklist here, and anyone who doesn't respond we'll try and get in touch with personally. If anyone wants to discuss privately they can message me or @therealprof, by email or on Matrix. Anyone who wants to step down we can move to "alumni" status and remove from their teams. No explanations needed either way, just an indication of whether you are still interested in being in the working group.
Happy to take feedback and suggestions on that plan, and unless we change the plan, I'll put the list together here after the next meeting.

OK, as discussed, here's the list. Please tick if you're still interested in being a member of the working group (this helps us check you are still able to at least see things on GitHub!), or reply here or privately (on Matrix or otherwise) if you'd like to retire from the WG and be moved to the alumni list. If you don't respond at all I'll try and chase you for a while before anything else happens!
Please also let me know if you're not on the list 😅 this is the "official" list from the rust-lang team repository, so if you're in the wg and not on the list, we need to add you!

You can hibernate me if that is still an option. Otherwise, retire me, please.

I'm still remaining in hibernation on embedded-wg stuff for the time being as I get back to work, focusing on wasm stuff, but am hoping to continue to help with some maintenance on embedded linux ecosystem crates once things settle in a bit.

Unfortunately had quite a lot going on lately both personally and professionally, so haven't had the time or energy to contribute here. So, at least for the time being, I will go ahead and retire :) Apologies for not mentioning any of this sooner 😅

@adamgreig you can hibernate me. Haven't been able to do as much as I'd liked by far, sadly, but I'd like to pick up in the future.

Thanks for the responses everyone! I am putting together a PR to hibernate those who've request it; thank you for everything you've done and just let us know if you want to un-hibernate.
Still awaiting responses from:

It's been quite a while since I've been able to contribute, probably best to hibernate me at this point.
jamesmunns commentedon May 27, 2025
@nastevens I think you and @ryankurte are the only ones with access/admin to the rust-embedded.org website, we might want to keep in the loop for that, or figure out how to migrate ownership of that.
hargoniX commentedon May 27, 2025
I already hibernated myself a while back.
