Please search existing issues before filing PRs https://github.com/rust-lang/book/search?q=pascalcase&type=issues

You may want to consider the abundance of PRs all trying to change a single word in the docs as evidence that the current choice of terminology is causing some friction. That might be at odds with the goal of helping people understand Rust.

By the way, overall I've loved the book. Everything else has been really clear and I'm looking forward to trying everything out.

How can we evaluate this all the people who might read this and not know what Pascal is, and get hung up on whether that's important or not?

Actually, after investigating other parts of the project for consistency (such as the reference, and this comment mentions the compiler diagnostics and API guidelines), I came across this RFC that standardized on UpperCamelCase. That should resolve both of our concerns as well as bring the book in line with the rest of the project, so I've made that change. Thanks!
