Summary

The most important links on this page for return visitors are the links at the top:

• install
• learn
• tools
• community
• etc
  please style them so they are more prominent

Motivation

The rust homepage is not just an advertising space for the language; it is a resource for developers. I find that I and my colleagues are constantly clicking on these links in the old site; they should be more prominent in the new site.

hi @jlgerber - those links are in the top level nav- which i think is one of the most prominent spaces in the site. can u clarify how you would like them to be more prominent? thanks!

It does seem difficult to make these links more prominent without making the design worse. One possible thing we could do is make the top bar (Rust logo and links) sticky so you don't need to scroll back up to the top to find them. I think that is fairly low priority though.

One important way these links could be made more prominent is by increasing the font weight and/or font size. The font weight used is currently one of the lighter weights on the page, and the size is small compared to the other elements. If the navigation links had a font size and weight similar to that of the "Get started" button, that would give them an appropriate prominence.
