@dimpase thanks for merging #166. Maybe it's reasonable to merge this one as well? Just restore a function which used in snappy.

Thanks, everyone. I am testing SnapPy now after removing those calls. They will be gone in the next release of SnapPy, which I expect to happen before the next release of SageMath. So it should be a smooth transition. - Marc
