Increase project json size limit?

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but here goes...

The maximum size for the project json is 5MB. Is there a specific reason for this limit? Why not allow 10MB?

The 5MB cap feels quite restrictive. Considering that assets can take up significantly more space on the server, storage doesn't seem to be the main concern.

Is there any chance this limit could be increased in the future?

I think scratch team never thought people would upload that large projects so it was mostly some kind of way to prevent DOS attacks (pretty stupid one though because there is no limit how many/large images you can upload).

You can always use this one https://xeltalliv.github.io/ScratchTools/ProjectJsonMinimizerNew/ to compress it a bit or use turbowarp desktop to get rid of the limit entierly. If you want to upload a large project made using turbowarp dekstop somewhere you could use turbowarp packager here: https://packager.turbowarp.org/ to make it into a HTML then upload it to itch.io for free.
