Let's add a console.log.mockClear() between these so that each group of assertions can be more independent from the others.

That does make it a-lot more clear. Cool, I appreciate this suggestion.

screen.debug(screen.getByText('test', {selector: 'button'}))
expect(console.log).toHaveBeenCalledTimes(1)
expect(console.log.mock.calls[0][0]).toMatchInlineSnapshot(`
"<button>
test
</button>"
`)
console.log.mockClear()
// log multiple elements
screen.debug(screen.getAllByText('multi-test'))
expect(console.log).toHaveBeenCalledTimes(2)
expect(console.log.mock.calls[0][0]).toMatchInlineSnapshot(`
"<span>
multi-test
</span>"
`)
expect(console.log.mock.calls[1][0]).toMatchInlineSnapshot(`
"<div>
multi-test
</div>"
`)
console.log.mockClear()
})

Interesting idea. This probably isn't how I would have done it, but I'm actually pretty cool with it.
