Fixes a regression introduced during the Pigeon conversion where canceling a dialog would fail assertions due to accidentally returning a null list instead of an empty list. Fixes flutter/flutter#158430

Someday this needs an entire jump table of GTK function replacements so we can stub out everything the plugin uses, but for now I just factored out the problematic logic and DI'd the one function we need. |
